Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Three months ago, he(she) had a history of ankle varus sprain more than once; 2. the score of Cumberland ankle instability questionnaire was lower than 27.5; 3. the physical therapist's anterolateral pull test and varus test showed no positive reaction (no ligament structure relaxation problem); 4. he(she) had no history of fracture in the past; 5. he(she) had not received surgery or central nerve injury in the past half a year; 6. he(she)has not received any treatment at present any lower limb rehabilitation or neuromuscular training.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. The lower limbs had been fractured or underwent surgery; 2. the lower limbs had any known mechanical instability or acute pathological symptoms, no new injury, acute inflammation or swelling within 2 weeks, and no pain during the pre functional activities; 3. systemic neuromuscular disorders, vestibular system dysfunction; 4. the patient had bilateral functional ankle instability.
