Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged 18-45 years, diagnosed to have major depressive disorder according to DSM-5 by structured conversations with professional psychiatrists,completed 10 courses (five days per week) of rTMS as an add-on therapy and no new medications were started during rTMS treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were contraindications to the use of rTMS, such as implanted cardiac pacemakers and other metal or electronic devices, epilepsy, brain tumors, and other organic encephalopathies.
