Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing total thyroidectomy during operation. 2. The operation is completed by the same group of surgeons, surgeons skilled in local anatomy, fine operation and rich experience. 3. The patient underwent thyroid surgery for the first time. 4. Preoperative serum calcium and PTH levels were normal. 5. There was no hypoproteinemia in all patients. 6. Patients agreed to participate in the study and sign informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. In patients with medullary thyroid carcinoma, hypercalcitonin secretion leads to calcium and phosphorus metabolism disorders and secondary parathyroid function changes. 2. There are previous disorders of calcium and phosphorus metabolism, such as chronic nephritis. 3. Patients with hyperthyroidism. 4. Patients with unknown cause of abnormal preoperative serum calcium or PTH levels. 5. Patients lost to follow-up. 6. Patients did not undergo total thyroidectomy.
