Interventions

Group A:When breakthrough pain occurrs, the rescue dose were added with 0.15% ropivacaine 6 ml via epidural route
Group B:When breakthrough pain occurrs, the rescue dose were added with 1.5% chloroprocaine 6 ml via epidural route

20 Years to 36 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy primiparas who request epidural analgesia and experience breakthrough pain during the first stage of labor after analgesia: 1. The age ranges from 20 to 36, ASA physical status I or II; 2. Height from 155 to 175cm, weight from 55 to 90kg; 3. Temperature < 37.3 degrees C, full-term primigravida, with singleton fetus and vertex presentation; 4. Fetal condition is normal.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Contraindications to epidural anesthesia; 2. Complication of pregnancy; 3. Prenatal history of use of analgesic, sedative and hypnotic drugs; 4. Mental disorder; 5. History of allergy to local anesthetics of esters such as procaine or amides.
