13 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) The patients with symptomatic thyroid nodules and treatment desire due to thyroid nodules, and benign thyroid nodules have been confirmed by ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration cytology at least twice; 2) without radiation history in childhood or radiation history; 3) without thyroid carcinoma family history; 4)without contraindications for surgery; 5) without psychological,physical or mental diseases which have impact on quality of life; 6) written informed consents obtain from both the patients and the family members.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients whose the nodules suspected or diagnosed to be malignant; 2) substernal goiter or thyroid nodules mainly located posterior to the sternum; 3) contralateral vocal cord dysfunction; 4) severe coagulation dysfunction; 5) combined with vital organ failure.
