Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. I or the legal agent voluntarily take the test and sign the informed consent form; 2. Age and gender: 18 years old or above, regardless of gender; 3. Lung CT or X-ray showed pulmonary inflammation; 4. Main diagnostic criteria for severe pneumonia (1) Mechanical ventilation is required; (2) Septic shock requires vasoconstrictors. 5. Secondary diagnostic criteria for severe pneumonia Disturbance of consciousness / orientation; Respiratory rate >= 30 times / min; PaO2/FiO2 = 7.12 mmol / L); Hypotension, need strong fluid resuscitation; Multiple lobar infiltration; Leucopenia (WBC = 50% within 48 hours of admission; Oliguria: urine volume < 20 ml / h, or < 80 ml / 4 h, or complicated with acute renal failure, need dialysis treatment. Metabolic acidosis or hyperlactemia The first, second and third conditions must be met. Clause 4 (compliance with 1 is compliance with Clause 4), clause 5 (compliance with 3 is compliance with Clause 5) or clause 6 (compliance with 1 is compliance with section 6) is sufficient.

Exclusion criteria: 1. Failed to take qualified sputum samples for examination; 2. The researchers judged the patients who were not suitable for the project.
