Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: OD suspected patients, patients with COP diagnosis, and health controls 1. OD suspected patients: (1) Core complaints of bite discomfort and abnormal occlusion, related to dental treatment, more than 6 months; (2) The symptoms of TMJ or masticatory muscle are not obvious, more than 3 months; (3) Mild or no tenderness in TMJ and masticatory muscle areas by palpation examination; (4) The severity of the main complaints does not match the objective examination, or there are symptoms difficult to be explained; (5) With history of multiple occlusal treatments (more than 2 times) with no obvious effect (effective duration following treatment is less than 3 days); (6) Aged 25 to 65 years. 2. Patients with COP diagnosis: (1) Core complaints of pain in orofacial area, related to dental treatment, more than 3 months; (2) No soft and hard tissue disease that can account for chief complaint is found through Intraoral examination; (3) Compliant with pain diagnosis in DC/TMD; (4) Occlusal abnormality can be detected by occlusal examination; (5) No history of multiple occlusal treatments; (6) Aged 25 to 65 years. 3. Health controls: (1) Aged 25 to 65; (2) No pain that lasts for more than 1 week in the whole body exists in the past 6 months (3) Natural dentition, without obvious occlusal abnormality; (4) Good oral hygiene; (5) The gender of health controls is matched according to the gender of the patient group.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Uncontrolled diabetes; 2. Uncontrolled hypertension; 3. Other serious systemic diseases; 4. Long-term use of non-health drugs.
