Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: There were 54 patients aged 18–40 years, American Society of Anaesthesiologists physical status I or II, and weighing 75–125% of their ideal weight who were undergoing elective Gynecology surgery under general anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a history of obesity, cardiac, pulmonary neurological or renal disease, disease of the larynx or vocal cords, contraindications for mask inhalation induction, or predictive signs of difficult intubation (Mallampati classification > 2) were excluded from the study.
