Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients had micrognathia, glossoptosis, airway obstruction. A fibreoptic nasopharyngoscopy examination was conducted in every patient to confirm glossoptosis and airway obstruction.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) severe cardiopulmonary disease; (2) head and neck tumours or trauma leading to changes in the local anatomical structure; (3) laryngomalacia, brain-induced central apnoea, or mixed apnoea; (4) other anomalies causing airway obstruction.
