Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged 18 years and above; (2) Infected or suspected infected patients; (3) concentration of Lactate >=3mmol/L, rapid fluid resuscitation was needed judged by clinicians; (4) SOFA score or qSOFA score >=2; (5) The patient or his/her guardian agrees and signs the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with hypermagnesemia or hypothyroidism; (2) the concentration of serum sodium >160mmol/L or <125mmol/L; (3) Patients with cirrhosis; (4) Patients in need of dialysis (5) Patients complicated with severe active bleeding and in need of massive blood transfusion; (6) women who are pregnant or breastfeeding; (7) in the terminal stage of illness or palliative care; (8) Patients who do not cooperate with comprehensive treatment; (9) Other conditions not considered by the researchers to be consistent with inclusion.
