Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Experimental group: patients clinically diagnosed as primary aldosteronism (PA group); (2) Control group: patients with essential hypertension (EH group) matched by gender and age (+/-2 years).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with missing main study parameters, such as RAAS-related indicators and thyroid-related parameters; (2) PA patients who have received normal treatment and reached the treatment standard (aldosterone reduced to the normal range, renin activity unsurpressed, spontaneous hypokalemia corrected, etc.) were excluded; (3) Severe organ damage in heart, liver, kidney and brain, pregnant women, or taking drugs that affect thyroid function.
