19 Years to 81 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) aged >=18 years; (2) received dental implant placement in the maxillary posterior region after maxillary sinus floor elevation by lateral window approach with bone grafts; (3) sign written informed consent; (4) no signs of maxillary sinus cyst or active sinusitis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) contraindication of general implantation operation; (2) uncontrolled diabetes mellitus or other systemic disorders as contraindications to implant surgeries; (3) any signs of immunosuppression; (4) history of radiation therapy of the cervicocephalic region; (5) Use of bisphosphonate for treatment of osteoporosis; (6) substance abuse; (7) sleep bruxism; (8) untreated periodontal disease, endodontic lesions or other oral disorders; (9) heavy smoking; (10) poor oral hygiene; (11) mental disorder; (12) lack of compliance.
