Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Eligibility criteria include clinical diagnosis of chronic diseases: Chronic disease formation period; chronic disease treatment period; chronic disease rehabilitation period patients, etc.; 2) Aged between 40 to 75 years old; 3) had no regular physical exercise for at least 1 year (3 months with a frequency of 3 to 4 times per week and 30minutes per session were considered as the minimal standard for regular physical exercise); 4) stable medication use.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) any history of stroke, severe cerebrovascular disease, musculoskeletal system disease, or sports injury related contraindications; 2) a score of <24 on the cognitive screening by the Mini-Mental State Exam (MMSE).
