Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Younger patients with ACG: 1) aged 21mmHg, with or without history of acute attack; 4) presence of glaucomatous optic nerve head and visual field defect in progressive and terminal stage. Normal subjects: 1) aged 18 to 60 years; 2) best corrected visual acuity >=0.8; 3) refractive error ranging from +3.0 D to -6.0 D; 4) intraocular pressure 40 years; 2) peripheral anterior synechiae (PAS), or appositionally closed angles on the basis of gonioscopy examination or ultrasound biomicroscopic dark room provocative testing; 3) IOP>21mmHg, with or without history of acute attack; 4) presence of glaucomatous optic nerve head and visual field defect.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with a compilcated previous history of intraocular surgery (aphakic or pseudophakic pupillary block or malignant glaucoma; 2. with history of eye trauma; 3. patients with purely anterior proliferative mechanisms,leading to formation of PAS due to pathology at the level of the iris or iridocorneal angle.
