Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. children diagnosed with biliary atresia and healthy children; 2. aged <3 years; 3. no antibiotics and probiotics within 4 weeks; 4. no diarrhoea and constipation within 4 weeks; 5. systemic bacterial, viral or fungal infection.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. children with other liver diseases; 2. take probiotic medicine or food such as lactic acid bacteria for nearly 1 month; 3. diarrhea occurred in the past 1 month (>3 times/day).
