Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: According to the "Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (2018 Edition)", the inclusion and exclusion criteria were formulated, and children with HFMD of different clinical stages were selected for inclusion in this study: The clinical manifestations meet the diagnostic criteria of HFMD and the common type of central nervous system infection was excluded by cerebrospinal fluid examination. (Clinical staging 1), severe group (clinical staging 2), critical group (clinical staging 3), and children with healthy physical examination during the same period were selected as the normal control group. Inclusion criteria: The children with HFMD who were hospitalized in our hospital during the study period were all new cases. The children were 6 months to 6 years old and had an onset of 2-5 days.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those who have received special treatments such as glucocorticoids before specimen collection; those who have a history of epilepsy, cerebral palsy, or have lagging behind in their motor development; those who have other infections such as respiratory and urinary systems; those who have had recent surgery or brain trauma.
