18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients with differentiated thyroid cancer, aged 18-70, no gender restriction, with well tolerance to general anaesthesia and surgery. 2.Total thyroidectomy with or without central neck dissection is needed to be done. 3.Preoperative thyroid sonography indicates a normal volume of thyroid. 4.No lymph nodes of lateral compartment are involved. 5.Patients agreed to participate the trial and signed the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Lobectomy only. 2.Parathyroid autotransplantation was done during the operation. 3.Patients with moderate or severe enlarged thyoird volume. 4.Lateral compartment dissection was done during the operation. 5.Patients were with severe systematic disease and showed worse tolerance to surgery. 6.Additional radioidione therapy needed to be done.
