Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Comminuted distal femur fractures (AO/OTA 33-A3/33-C2/33-C3); 2.dual plating fixation (the medial plate adopted a hybrid locked mode); 3.a minimum follow up of six months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Open fractures; 2.fractures exceeding two weeks; 3.concurrent with ipsilateral osteoarthritis; 4.incomplete data; 5.lost to follow up.
