Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants will be included if they meet the following inclusion criteria: 1) Were aged between 18–24 years; 2) Individuals with depression were a DSM-5 diagnosis of MDD by a psychiatrist using the structured Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview (Sheehan et al., 1998) and a score between 10 and 23 (inclusive) on the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9)(Kroenke et al., 2001); 3) Received education in junior high school and above; 4) Have a telephone, basic Internet skills, and Internet access; and 5) Consented to participate in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria are significant suicidal ideation (initial PHQ-9 item 9 score >1), as well as receiving or planning to receive psychotherapy were excluded, as well as others with current mania, hypomania, being actively, engaging in self-harm, severe physical disorder, psychosis and related disorders, mental disorders caused by psychoactive substance abuse, and severe cognitive dysfunction. These illnesses were screened in a review of medical records and confirmed by treating physicians. In addition, depressive disorder with postpartum onset was not included.
