Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who entered PICU for more than 48 hours; 2. Patients aged 1-16 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children with limb fracture and unable to measure rectus femoris muscle; 2. Children with congenital muscular dystrophy; 3. Children with acute or chronic kidney injury or nephropathy; 4. Children died within 48 hours after admission to ICU; 5. Children whose guardians refused to be enrolled.
