Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children are 2-12 years old and adults are more than 18 years old. 2. Children diagnosed as acute otitis media; 3. Children with secretory otitis media with effusion of middle ear lasting for more than three months who need middle ear catheterization; 4. Chronic suppurative otitis media with recurrent otitis media and tympanic membrane perforation; 5. Adult secretory otitis media with nasopharyngeal tumor should be excluded, and tympanic membrane puncture or catheter should be used to extract middle ear effusion; 6. Patients with no history of antibiotic use two weeks before specimen collection; 7. Informed consent of the patient or guardian.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children with cleft lip and palate or other maxillofacial dysplasia; 2. Patients with nasopharyngeal or nasal tumors.
