Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with atlantoaxial instability or dislocation without congenital abnormality underwent atlantoaxial arthrodesis; 2. Posterior occipitocervical arthrodesis should be performed in patients with atlantoaxial instability, dislocation or basilar invagination (BI) accompanied by congenital bone abnormalities; 3. Those patients who used posterior occipital or atlantoaxial arthrodesis in the case of side mass collapse and secondary brain injury caused by rheumatoid arthritis; 4. The shortest follow-up time was 24 months.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who only used anterior or posterior combined approaches; 2. Patients with traditional posterior fusion through posterior approach, but the facet joints were not exposed for any reason; 3. Those patients with posterior internal fixation, temporary fracture fixation and no fusion.
