Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women with PCOS that were 19-35 years of age, with biochemical HA and/or hyperinsulinemia were enrolled. The 2003 Rotterdam criteria wrs used for a diagnosis of PCOS.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included hyperprolactinemia and thyroid dysfunctionas well as other causes of HA, including Cushing syndrome, an androgen secreting tumor, and ovulation induction prior to the study. Patients were also excluded if they wished to conceive.
