Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Group D (people with type 2 diabetes only) 1. Aged 30-65 years old; 2. Meet diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes; 3. Volunteer to participate in clinical studies and can sign or provide authorized informed consent. Group P (people with periodontitis only) 1. Aged 30-65 years old; 2. Meet the diagnostic criteria of periodontitis;Volunteer to participate in clinical studies and can sign or provide authorized informed consent. 3. DP group (type 2 diabetes with periodontitis) Includes all of 1) and 2).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Group D (people with type 2 diabetes only) 1. Patients with type 1 diabetes, gestational diabetes and other special types of diabetes; 2. Patients with periodontitis; 3. Those who took antibacterial drugs or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in recent 3 months; 4. With serious systemic diseases or complications such as blood diseases, liver damage, kidney disease, or with systemic inflammatory diseases; 5. Those who were unable to take the questionnaire due to other reasons such as confusion, dementia, mental disorder and inability to communicate verbally; 6. Foreigners; 7. Gestational woman. Group P (people with periodontitis only) 1. Those with a history of periodontal disease treatment in the last 6 months; 2. Diabetic patients; 3. Those who took antibacterial drugs or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in recent 3 months; 4. With serious systemic diseases or complications such as blood diseases, liver damage, kidney disease, or with systemic inflammatory diseases; 5. Those who were unable to take the questionnaire due to other reasons such as confusion, dementia, mental disorder and inability to communicate verbally; 6. Foreigners; 7. Gestational woman. DP group (type 2 diabetes with periodontitis): 1. patients with type 1 diabetes, gestational diabetes and other special types of diabetes; 2. Patients with a history of periodontal treatment in the past 6 months: those who took antibacterial drugs or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the past 3 months; 3. With serious systemic diseases or complications such as blood diseases, liver damage, kidney disease, or with systemic inflammatory diseases; 4. Those who were unable to take the questionnaire due to other reasons such as confusion, dementia, mental disorder and inability to communicate verbally; 5. Foreigners; 6. Pregnant women.
