Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Meet the Chinese acute ischemic stroke diagnosis and treatment guidelines 2018; (2) with infarction in the basal ganglia region; (3) NIHSS 4 to 15; (4) less than 2 weeks after stroke onset; (5) had to be in a stable medical condition, without aggravating symptoms.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a history of stroke and severe sequelae, mental disorders, extrapyramidal damage (such as Parkinsons syndrome), skin injury, eczema, infection, skull defect, or bedsore were excluded prior to the study. Cerebral tumor or hemorrhage patients without skull repair after surgical operation as well as pregnant or lactating women were also excluded.
