Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Control group: patients without infection phenotype after knee or hip replacement; 2. Periprosthetic infection (PJI) group: Patients with infection after knee or hip replacement; 3. PJI diagnosis is based on the diagnostic criteria of the American musculoskeletal infection Association in 2011.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with other infectious diseases, cancer or digestive tract diseases.
