Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adolescent depression group: (1) aged between 12 and 18 years; (2) According to the ICD-10 diagnostic criteria, the diagnostic criteria for depressive disorder are assessed by a professional psychiatrist; (3) 17 items of Hamilton Depression Scale >=21 points; (4) Primary school education or above; (5) Right-handedness; (6) I and my guardian agree to participate in this study and sign the informed consent. Adolescent health control group: (1) aged between 12 and 18 years; (2) No history of or present mental disorders; (3) Primary school education or above; (4) Right-handedness; (5) I and my guardian agree to participate in this study and sign the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Both the adolescent depression group and the adolescent health control group: (1) there were active infections, endocrine diseases and severe physical diseases; (2) Suicidal behaviors within the last six months; (3) Take antibiotics and drugs regulating intestinal flora in recent 3 months; (4) The presence of other diseases that affect cognitive function; (5) Previous history of electroconvulsive therapy.
