14 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Age 14-65 years old 2) Wechsler Intelligence Scale (WISC-IV) >= 75 3) Diagnosed as intractable epilepsy with potential epileptogenic zones located in frontal lobe and stereotactic intracranial-depth electrodes implantation 4) compliant enough to cooperate with neurological and functional brain imaging 5) clear ictal onset identified with stereo-electroencephalography 6) the control group will be a group of patients who receive traditional frontal lobectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) surgical contraindication 2) prior surgical history 3) familial neuropsychiatric disorders or neurological diseases 4) incompliance that results in low-quality imaging data caused by head movement etc.
