Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients age over 18 years with dyspeptic complaints, referrred for upper endoscopy, will be prospectively enrolled in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients will be excluded if they have: 1. active peptic ulcer or with history of ulcer disease; 2. a history of stomach surgery; 3. cancer; 4. irradiation of the upper abdomen; 5. immunosuppressive therapy; 6. received proton pump inhibitors within 1 month before enrolment; 7. received oral anticoagulation within 1 week before enrolment; 8. received antibiotic therapy within 1 month before enrolment.
