Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing tracheal intubation under general anesthesia for elective surgery from September 1, 2020 to July 31, 2022 in Tianjin Medical University General Hospital.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. The object of smoking; 2. Subjects with body mass index (BMI) over 28 kg / m2; 3. Patients with elevated intracranial pressure, intra-abdominal pressure or intraocular pressure before operation; 4. Patients with a history of respiratory diseases, such as asthma, chronic cough and upper respiratory tract infection within two weeks; 5. Patients with history of other systemic diseases, including gastroesophageal reflux, hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, liver and kidney dysfunction, and adrenocortical insufficiency; 6. Patients with a long history of taking opioids or other cough causing drugs, such as angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, and antitussive drugs such as bronchodilators and steroids.
