Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients will be eligible for study inclusion if they are aged at least 18 years old, admitted to the ICU from January 1st, 2021 through December 31st, 2021, and diagnosed with ARDS and AKI.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients will be excluded for any of the following reasons or conditions: no informed consent, end-stage renal disease or those who receive renal replacement therapy before ICU admission, not expected to live greater than 48 hours, known pregnancy, and chronic pulmonary disease.
