Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Outpatients and inpatients; 2) Aged 50-80 years old; 3) MRI mainly showing mild to severe white matter damage(Fazekas grades 2,3), accompanied with lacunar infarcts, cerebral microbleed, enlarged perivascular space. The diagnosis standards by neuroimaging are in accordance with Prevention of Stroke in Patients With Silent Cerebrovascular Disease- A Scientific Statement for Healthcare Professionals From the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association; 4) The chief complaint of patients is cognitive impairment, possibly accompanied with affective disorders / sleep disorders/ gait disorder/urinary dysfunction/dysphagia; 5) Objective cognitive assessment showing at least one cognitive domain impairment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Cortical or large subcortical infarction (>2cm); 2) Intracranial or extracranial macrovascular (>50% stenosis); 3) White matter damage caused by other diseases, including MS/ toxication/ metabolic diseases; 4) Stroke not caused by cerebral small vessel disease; 5) Acute lacunar stroke onset within 3 months; 6) Other clinical manifestations not caused by cerebral small vessel disease, including Parkinson diseases; 7) Cognitive impairments and gait disorders caused by other diseases, including AD/ macrovascular cognitive impairment/ hydrocephalus; 8) Dementia; 9) Severe depression or communicative disorders; 10) Patients unable to sign consent forms and patients with poor compliance; 11) Patients with contraindications for MRI.
