Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Provide written informed consent and complying with study assessments throughout the study period; 2. Aged >=18 years; 3. Type I/II diabetes; 4. PDR Extensive retinal hemorrhage, exudation, neovascularization membrane and fibrogenesis were observed in the fundus, with/without retinal detachment, vitreous blood accumulation. It was determined that further treatment through surgery was needed; 5. The diagnosis of hyperuricemia (HUA) was defined as fasting serum uric acid level of >420 mol/L (i.e. 7mg/dl) in men and >357 mol/L (i.e. 5.95mg/dl) in women under normal purine diet not measured twice on the same day; 6. Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) >60 ml/min.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnancy or lactation; 2. Any other conditions that researchers believe would cause significant harm to the subjects; 3. Participate in another medical investigation or trial within 30 days; 4. Acute cardiovascular events requiring hospitalization in the past 3 months; 5. History of total retinal photocoagulation 3 months before or YAG cystectomy 1 month before; 6. Intravitreal steroid or periocular steroid therapy during the first 3 months; 7. History of vitrectomy in the eyes; 8. History of retinal detachment in the eye; 9. Previous trabeculectomy or other filtration surgery; 10. Active eye or periocular infection in both eyes; 11. History of any other retinal vascular disease in the eye (e.g., retinal vein occlusion, retinal artery occlusion); 12. History of any other retinal diseases other than diabetic retinopathy (e.g., AMD, hereditary retinal diseases).
