Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Part I Patients whose pre-operative diagnosis met the criteria for a periglottic mass. Part II Within the EENTPM database, screen all previous patients whose diagnosis satisfied the definition of a "periglottic mass," aged > 18 years and classified as ASA physical status I–III.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Part I Patients for whom data could not be extracted were excluded. Part II 1. Patients were excluded if any of the following applied: 2. They had not undergone endotracheal intubation, had a tracheotomy for reasons other than a periglottic mass, or had not undergone surgery at all. 3. They had not received general anesthesia. 4. Laryngoscopic findings were unavailable. 5. A standard CT examination was not available. 6. Key descriptive data—such as the recorded degree of laryngeal obstruction—were missing. 7. They underwent a second (revision) operation for extended resection of the periglottic mass. 8. No text or coding indicating the grade or extent of laryngeal obstruction could be retrieved from the database.
