Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. In accordance with the standards of the American academy of pediatrics (APP) 2011, FSs was a convulsive attack in a febrile state (anal temperature >=38.5?, axillary temperature >=38 degree C). 2. FSs patients aged from 6 months to 4 years.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Convulsions are caused by central nervous system infection, prior history of convulsions, toxic encephalopathy, systemic metabolic disorders, acute poisoning, or a genetic metabolic disease; 2. Children with low serum 25 hydroxyvitamin D concentration (250nmol/L); 3. Children who are allergic to vitamin D and its components; 4. Children who have taken vitamin D supplements or active vitamin D; 5. Patients who received immunosuppressive therapy including oral corticosteroids or chemotherapy drugs in the past one year; 6. Urinary calculi, fractures, and other underlying diseases related to calcium or bone; 7. Other chronic conditions exist, including cerebral palsy, mental retardation, swallowing disorders, and genetic metabolic disorders; 8. The pediatrician determined that there were other reasons for the difficulty of enrollment.
