Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Preliminary criteria: 1. MRI examination of shoulder joint within 1 month before admission showed rotator cuff tear; 2. This admission is scheduled for rotator cuff repair using a patch; Intraoperative criteria: 1. The anterioposterior diameter of rotator cuff tear is measured under arthroscopy and is larger than 5 cm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Preliminary criteria: 1. History of injury or operation of contralateral shoulder joint; 2. History of shoulder dislocation or subluxation; 3. Injuries of other joints of the affected upper limb; 4. Central or peripheral nerve disease; 5. Myopathy. Intraoperative criteria: 1. Outerbridge grade >=3 for osteoarthritis of glenohumeral joint; 2. Intra-articular fracture; 3. The repair cannot be completed.
