Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who were suspected with breast cancer, and categorized as BI-RADS 4c, 5, or 6 by ultrasound, mammography, and/or MRI, and would be scheduled for primary surgical treatment in our hospital.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients whose axillary lymph node(s) have been histologically and cytologically proven to be involved, patients who underwent previous ipsilateral breast and/or axillary surgery or radiotherapy, or patients with contraindications for ultrasound contrast use, patients whose lymphatic channels were not displayed in the lymphatic contrast enhanced ultrasound, patients who did not receive an axillary operation for benign or low potential malignant breast mass validation.
