Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Chronic periodontitis group, Han nationality, with 1 or more sites in at least 3 quadrants of the whole mouth. Periodontal pocket probing depth (PD) >=6 mm, attachment loss (AL) >=3 mm; X-ray film shows alveolar bone horizontal or angular resorption> 1/3 of the root length; healthy control group, Han nationality, no abnormal gingiva, gingival sulcus probing depth <3mm, no attachment loss, X-ray film shows no Alveolar bone resorption.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Have systemic diseases; women are pregnant and breastfeeding; have had periodontal basic treatment within 6 months; have taken antibiotics within 6 months.
