18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with histologically proven esophageal cancer; 2. aged 18-75 years old. Patients with cTNM II/III thoracic operable esophageal lesion. Staging investigations including esophagogastroscopy, chest and abdominal CT scan, barium swallow and selective endoscopic ultrasonography. 3. Karnofsky performance status greater than or equal to 80%; 4. Pulmonary and cardiac function must be acceptable for surgery according to institutional standards; 5. Acceptable hepatic, renal function.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Other history of malignancy; 2. Stage investigations indicating unresectable advanced disease (T4 or M1a,M1b); 3. Patients with any other serious underlying medical condition that would impair the ability of the patient to receive or comply with protocol treatment; 4. Chemo and/or radiotherapy before surgery; 5. Patients medically unfit for surgical resection.
