Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged 5-11 years; Children whose nasal respiratory tract is unobstructed, lingual frenulum is limited and the tongue body is located in the lower part of the mouth.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous orthodontic treatment, craniofacial growth abnormalities, previous treatment for ear, nose, throat and intraoral surgery (e.g. lingual frenectomy, tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy), systemic diseases and TMJ disorders.
