Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The participants in the current study need to be: (1) a pregnant women with singleton pregnancy in the third trimester and gestational age of 28 weeks or more; (2) a Han Chinese, aged 18 to 40 years old; (3) willing to participate in the follow-up study, and sign an informed consent. The HIV-infected pregnant women in the experimental group need to further meet: (1) a positive medical test or positive confirmation from ELISA test; (2) receiving regular prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission; (3)normal clinical biochemical indicators (CD4 count, CD4/CD8 ratio) during the whole pregnancy.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) With serious pregnancy complications such as high blood pressure, placenta previa, and abnormal fetal position; (2) With intracranial viral infection other than HIV; (3) With history of central nervous system disease such as intracranial tumor, head injury, and cerebrovascular disease; (4) With history of chronic mental illness such as depression and anxiety; (5) With history of substance abuse or dependence on alcohol and drugs; (6) With contraindication to MRI.
