Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients aged >=18 years; 2. Confirmed gastric adenocarcinoma by gastroscopy and biopsy; 3. Carcinomas located in the middle and upper 1/3 of the stomach, or locally advanced type II and III esophagogastric junction (CT1-4A, N-/+, M0); 4. No distant metastasis was found in preoperative evaluation, no invasion of surrounding organs such as pancreas and spleen; 5. Preoperative ECOG (Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group) score 0 and 1; 6. Preoperative American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score I-III; 7. Sign the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Women in pregnant or lactating; 2) Patients with severe mental illness; 3) History of upper abdominal surgery (except laparoscopic cholecystectomy); 4) Preoperative imaging examination showed significant enlargement or fusion of lymph nodes (diameter > 3cm); 5) Other malignant tumors in the past 5 years; 6) Suffered from unstable angina or myocardial infarction in the past 6 years; 7) A history of stroke in the past 6 years; 8) Emergency surgery caused by gastric cancer (bleeding, obstruction, perforation)
