Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Male or female aged 45 to 80 years; 2. Diagnosis of sarcopenia according to the criteria of the Asian sarcopenia study group; 3. Liver fat content by ultrasound method <9.15%.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Excessive alcohol intake (>140g/week for men and >70g/week for women in the past 6 months); 2. Liver disease caused by other reasons, such as alcoholic liver disease, acute and chronic viral hepatitis, drug-induced, immune hepatitis (AMA, SMA, ANA), liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, etc.; 3. Biliary diseases: obstructive diseases of biliary tract, etc.; 4. Other diseases that affect glucose and lipid metabolism: hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, Cushing syndrome, etc.; 5. Poorly controlled diabetic patients: HbA1c >9.5% within three months; or taking hypoglycemic drugs that may affect liver histopathology, including pioglitazone, GLP-1, DDP-4 inhibitors, SGLT2 inhibitors.; 6. Chronic kidney disease or severe renal impairment, defined as serum creatinine greater than 2.0mg/dL; 7. Serum ALT is greater than 3 times the upper limit of normal; 8. Life expectancy not exceeding 3 years in the presence of serious health conditions; 9. plan to become pregnant in the near future; 10. Those who cannot participate in the follow-up; 11. Continuous use of drugs that may cause steatohepatitis for more than 2 weeks (such as cortisol, methotrexate, etc.); 12. Participated in other clinical trials in the past 4 weeks; 13. Those who have had stomach volume reduction surgery or digestive tract surgery; 14. Diagnosis of any neoplastic disease; 15. Participate in strenuous exercise or plan to change their diet; 16. Cannot sign informed consent.
