Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Randomly selected from Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University, Guangzhou from January 2017 to December 2019, a total of 1,000 patients underwent the following five types of surgery: breast surgery, biliary tract surgery, spine surgery, thoracotomy and amputation surgery for elderly patients >= 65 years old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with lacking post-operative VAS score, emergency surgery, poor physical condition (ASA grade III or above), death, mental abnormality unable to communicate, pre-operative chronic pain after surgery, tumor recurrence and metastasis at follow-up.
