Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged >=18 years understand and agree to sign the informed consent form; 2. After preoperative examination, the patients who need open thyroidectomy were identified.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing thyroidectomy without exposure of parathyroid glands (e.g. patients undergoing isthmectomy); 2. Patients with parathyroid diseases (parathyroid tumor and parathyroid dysfunction); 3. Patients with previous thyroid, parathyroid or thyroid region surgery history.
