Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients who underwent elective video-assisted thoracoscopic lung lobectomy or segmentectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were a history of asthma, active upper airway or systemic infection, interstitial lung disease, and cardiac problems and who were scheduled for open thoracotomy.
