18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Aged 18 to 80 years; 2) American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I to III; 3) scheduled for elective posterior spine surgery (at any level among L4-S1 vertebrae); 4) Sign informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) inability to communicate; 2) chronic opioid use (taking opioids longer than 3 months or more than 5mg/day oral morphine equivalents for 1 month); 3) receiving anticoagulant therapy or coagulation disorders; 4) infection at puncture sites; 5) allergy to local anesthetic; 6) renal failure; 7) spinal revision surgery.

the 30-min worst rest pain scores in postanesthesia care unit;
