Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Ability to read and write. (2) Have access to the Internet. (3) Have experienced negative stress events (as determined by open questions about negative life events). (4) High levels of anxiety or depression (Scoring more than seven on at least one subscale of the Hospital Depression and Anxiety Scale), or high levels of perceived stress (Scoring more than 17 on the Chinese version of Perceived Stress Scale), or have symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD, scoring 3 or more on the primary care PTSD screen for DSM-5).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: suicidal ideation (the response on the Scale for Suicidal Ideation was "weak" or "moderate to strong").
