Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: We recruited Chinese patients who underwent elective coronary angiography at Peking Union Medical College Hospital and exhibited >=50% stenosis in at least one main coronary artery. The subject's age range must be between 50-75 years old and non-vegetarian.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects were excluded if they had gastrointestinal diseases, malignant tumours, autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, renal dysfunc- tion (severe renal disease creatinine > 3.0 mg/dl), a history of gastrointestinal surgery in the previous year or were ad- ministered antibiotics for more than 3 days in the previous 3 months.
