Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing emergency appendicectomy for suspected appendicitis. [Acute (1 week or less) non traumatic right iliac fossa pain consistent with a diagnosis of appendicitis, i.e. pain associated with nausea, anorexia, vomiting and fever along with clinical signs as tenderness and rebound tenderness in right iliac fossa.] Or USG suggestive of appendicitis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a history of abdominal trauma, Patients with age less than 12 years, Abdominal pain of duration more than one week, Patients with non RIF pain.
